Las nuevas instalaciones del Centro Tecnológico para la Innovación Alimentaria (CeTA), ubicadas al interior del Parque Carén de la Universidad de Chile, fueron presentadas a través de un evento online público. En la oportunidad participaron destacados exponentes de la industria alimentaria.
El jueves 12 de agosto se realizó la inauguración virtual del Centro de Innovación Carén, las nuevas instalaciones del Centro Tecnológico para la Innovación Alimentaria (CeTA), que dará respuesta a las necesidades de la industria alimentaria para la zona central del país.
El evento fue abierto a la comunidad y un centenar de personas pudo apreciar cómo es el nuevo centro y los desafíos que tiene la industria en la actualidad. Esto fue posible gracias a la presencia de destacados invitados, quienes participaron de un panel de conversación donde se abordó la importancia de contar con un centro como este en el país, tanto para la economía como para emprendedores, empresas e investigaciones académicas.
Fernanda Faúndez, encargada de Vinculación y Desarrollo del CeTA, estuvo a cargo de la presentación de la instancia, mientras que Jean Paul Veas, director ejecutivo de la entidad, moderó el panel de conversación. Además, el gerente de capacidades de Corfo, Fernando Hentzchel, dio la bienvenida a todos los asistentes conectados.
El panel fue integrado por el académico de la Pontificia Universidad Católica, Eduardo Agosín; la CEO de The Imperfect Project, Adriana Behm; la Gerente de Innovación Corfo, Rocío Fonseca; el CEO de NotCo., Matías Muchnick; el Gerente General de Orizon, Rigoberto Rojo y la Gerente de Transforma Alimentos, Graciela Urrutia.
Los panelistas fueron divididos en dos grupos: el primero de ellos estuvo compuesto por los representantes de Transforma Alimentos, Corfo y la Universidad Católica, quienes expusieron sobre las oportunidades que ofrece la instalación de un centro de CeTA para el futuro, respecto a la innovación y a la posibilidad de diversificar la matriz alimentaria como opciones para el emprendimiento en Chile. El segundo grupo, en tanto, fue integrado por los CEOs de NotCo. y de The Imperfect Project, junto al gerente general de Orizon, quienes conversaron sobre los desafíos en innovación y el desarrollo de productos que potencia CeTA.
Matías Muchnick, quien lidera una de las empresas más exitosas de Chile y que recientemente recibió la categoría Unicornio, destacó cómo el Centro de Innovación Carén permitirá abrir una nueva gama de negocios a miles de emprendedores que tienen revolucionarias ideas para implementar en el país y el mundo.
“Cuanto más nosotros acerquemos el laboratorio a la realidad es cuanto más valor vamos a generar (…) Para nosotros CeTA es eso, acerca la ficción a la realidad, nos acerca a probar más rápido los productos, a fallar más rápido y a generar mejora continua mucho más rápido. Es lanzar, probar, mejorar. Antiguamente nos demorábamos, en promedio, dos años o tres años, la industria en general se demora hasta cuatro años en un producto, y nosotros en NotCo. nos estamos demorando 3 meses, y eso que no tenemos a CeTA”, indicó el CEO de NotCo.
El Centro de Innovación Carén fue inaugurado, de forma presencial, el pasado 28 de julio, oportunidad en la que estuvieron presentes los ministros de Economía, Fomento y Turismo, Lucas Palacios, y de Agricultura, María Emilia Undurraga, además del vicepresidente de Corfo, Pablo Terrazas, y los rectores de la Universidad de Chile y de la Pontificia Universidad Pontificia, Ennio Vivaldi e Ignacio Sánchez, respectivamente.
