Todos los interesados en potenciar la producción de alimentos con valor agregado en la zona austral de Chile están invitados a recorrer las instalaciones del Centro de Innovación Sur CeTA/UFRO el próximo jueves 12 de marzo.
Previa inscripción gratuita, se podrá acceder y conocer el funcionamiento de las 5 líneas de procesos, mini planta cervecera y unidad de packaging que componen el Centro de Innovación ubicado en Temuco.
Líneas de procesos para deshidratado, jugos, extracción de aceite, mermeladas y pulpas; mini planta cervecera y unidad de packaging, son las instalaciones del Centro de Innovación Sur de CeTA/UFRO que el próximo jueves 12 de marzo estarán abiertas a los interesados en conocer su funcionamiento y posibles aplicaciones.
A partir de las 9.30 y hasta las 14 horas, previa inscripción gratuita, se podrá ser parte de este primer “Día de Planta Abierta”, que se realizará en el Centro de Innovación ubicado en Temuco. “La zona austral tiene el potencial para transformarse en polo de innovación en alimentos, aprovechando la riqueza de sus materias primas. Para lograrlo, es fundamental que los emprendedores, pymes, agricultores pequeños y medianos, academia y todos los interesados en producir alimentos, conozcan la infraestructura disponible para llevar a cabo sus proyectos”, señala Jean Paul Veas, director ejecutivo de CeTA.
El Centro de Innovación Sur CeTA/UFRO posee una superficie de 400 m2 y significó una inversión de $900 millones. “La planta tiene capacidades definidas para la elaboración de ingredientes, prototipos y maquila, en diferentes formatos, para cereales, hierbas medicinales, frutas, berries y hortalizas”, explica Luis Torralbo, director del Instituto de Agroindustria de la Universidad de La Frontera, donde se emplaza la instalación piloto.
Demostraciones con tecnología de punta
“Vamos a trabajar con varias líneas al mismo tiempo para que se pueda observar la operación de la planta”, sostiene Jorge Gacitúa, jefe de planta en el Centro de Innovación Sur. Detalla que “se harán demostraciones de dos tipos de procesos de deshidratado y lo aplicaremos en berries, específicamente arándanos. También vamos a estar trabajando con cuarta gama, que son los mínimamente procesados. Vamos a hacer pruebas para obtener crema o mayonesa sin huevo. Además, en packaging, tendremos muestras de cómo se hace un empaque, el corte de etiquetas y uso de impresora 3D, entre otras exhibiciones”.
Las líneas de procesos que operan en Temuco poseen tecnología de punta e incluyen desde la producción de jugos, aceites, mermeladas, cervezas y otros, al envase y contenedor de los alimentos.
